Quick answers about A1 All Professional Movers: what an Ocala move runs, the 55-plus downsizes and estate jobs we are built for, our FDACS and federal coverage, the deposit, storage, and how Rick keeps the written number honest. Do not see yours? Drop it in the form and Donna will reply quickly.

Is A1 an actual Ocala moving company with its own trucks, or does it just book my move out to someone else?
Yes, A1 All Professional Movers is the genuine mover. We carry FDACS registration plus USDOT and MC authority, our eight trucks are parked at the SW 34th Avenue office, and each mover draws a regular W-2 check signed by Rick. No booking gets resold to another outfit. The person who quotes your job in Ocala is on the same payroll as the people lifting your sofa.
How does A1 work out what a Marion County move will cost?
You pick the format. Smaller loads go hourly: $115/hr for two movers, $155/hr for three, $200/hr for four. Or choose a flat written band keyed to home size, roughly $360 to $580 for a studio, $580 to $950 at one bedroom, climbing to about $2,550 to $4,050 by four bedrooms. Carla looks over your inventory and the access, then pins one figure that stands at delivery, with no fuel or stair fee tacked on later.
Can A1 handle a 55-plus downsize at On Top of the World, Stone Creek, or Del Webb Spruce Creek?
Those jobs are why Rick opened the doors. Trading a four-bedroom for a villa calls for patience, careful wrapping of china and glass, and a crew that will not hurry, which a packed route seldom allows. We set up the guard pass and learn the clubhouse rules beforehand, and one flat written rate covers the entire downsize.
Which parts of Ocala and Marion County will A1 serve?
The whole county: downtown and the historic square, the SW College Road corridor, Silver Springs Shores, Marion Oaks, the 55-plus communities like On Top of the World and Stone Creek, the WEC area and horse farms across NW Marion, plus Belleview, Dunnellon, Summerfield, and Ocklawaha near Lake Weir. Long-distance jobs head out from here too, north on I-75 toward Gainesville and Atlanta or south toward Tampa.
Is my shipment insured during an A1 move?
Yes. Every job rides with $1M of cargo protection. The federal released-value floor is $0.60 a pound, and you can step up to full-value protection at 1 to 3 percent of declared worth. The claim window runs nine months. Since A1 is the real mover rather than a pass-through, any claim is handled at our Ocala office by Wade, not by a carrier you have never spoken with.
Does A1 require a deposit to lock in my move date?
A refundable deposit of $100 to $200 reserves the slot, and it comes off the final bill instead of sitting on top as a charge. Taking a fat sum upfront and vanishing is the broker trick Rick refused to run, and that refusal is part of why A1 began in 2009.
What if a Florida storm forces me to cancel or shift my date?
Plans move, and we roll with it. Give Donna a day or two of warning and we will either return your deposit outright or slide you to the next open date. A storm threat or a sale that falls apart at the last minute comes with the territory in Marion County, and a single phone call clears it up.
Will the A1 crew pack my home as well?
Yes. The crew can box the entire place, just the fragile kitchen and artwork, or simply leave you cartons and tape to work at your own speed. Furniture gets pad-wrapped and then shrink-sealed against the Ocala humidity, and our own staff does the packing, never day labor.
Does A1 have storage for the gap between dates?
Yes. If a closing slips or the new villa is not finished, climate-controlled storage runs roughly $95 to $230 a month by unit size, keeping your belongings clear of the Marion County heat and damp. Have Carla add it straight to the quote.
Will A1 take a long-distance move out of Florida?
Yes. On USDOT and MC authority, one truck and one crew carry you the full distance, from your Ocala door to the new place. Frequent lanes run north on I-75 toward Gainesville, Atlanta, and Nashville, or south toward Tampa and beyond. The movers who load you are the movers who unload you, with nothing swapped between trailers or stored mid-trip.
Should I tip the A1 crew?
It is never required, but always welcome when the crew earns it. No fixed amount applies. Some customers give each mover a flat cash sum, others base it on a slice of the bill. The choice is yours, and Junior and Lamar's crews put in the same effort through the Ocala heat regardless.
